ABOUT US
For the Gospel exists to provide Sound Doctrine for Everyday People
Our Purpose
We believe that our role is to support local churches, leaders, and Christians from around the world through online content that strengthens and affirms their life in Christ.
Who we are
For the Gospel content is provided by people who serve in various capacities as pastors, teachers, professors, counselors, writers, and creatives. All contributors are required to be members and leaders who are in good standing with their local church. FTG was originally founded by Costi W. Hinn.
What we’re doing
We are fully committed to using every means possible to reach every age and life stage with the Gospel including: Articles, Podcasts, Video Production, Publishing, Social Media, & Conferences.
What Makes us distinct
Two things make us distinct that really shouldn’t, but in today’s world, they do. First, FTG is strategically committed to standing for truth regardless of the cost. Our ministry loyalty is to Christ and His unchanging Word, not culture. Second, FTG will forever be firm in sound theology, but will remain flexible with innovative technology. The motive behind our ministry is to see lives transformed by the power of the gospel (Romans 1:16-17). Therefore, the traditional use of media or technology will not limit our efforts to reach new generations.
Our Beliefs
-
We teach that the Bible is the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God, an objective revelation from God to man, to be interpreted literally depicting specific work by God in each age, and constituting the only infallible rule of faith and practice. (John 10:33-36, 1 Corinthians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
-
We teach that there is only one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4), an infinite, all-knowing Spirit (John 4:24), perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)—each equally deserving worship and obedience.
-
We teach that Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God, born of a virgin, representing deity and humanity in indivisible oneness, so that He may reveal God and redeem men. (John 5:23, John 10:36-38, John 14:9-10, 1 Peter 1:18-19)
-
We teach that everyone who accepts Christ as Lord has the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit who acts as Comforter, Guide, Advocate, and Protectorate of God’s people until the end of the present age. (John 15:16-17, Galatians 5:16-23)
-
We teach that God created man to glorify God, enjoy God’s fellowship, and thereby accomplish God’s purpose for man in the world. Yet, by Adam’s sin of disobedience man lost his innocence and became inherently corrupt, thus making all men sinners by nature, by choice, and divine declaration, gravely in need of salvation. (Isaiah 43:7, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:10-12, 1 Corinthians 2:14)
-
We teach that salvation comes by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ alone. Specifically, all who believe in the death, burial, and physical resurrection of Jesus Christ will be saved and secured unto eternal life in heaven while those who do not will spend eternity in literal torment, all of this based on the grace of God, merit of His shed blood, and not on human merit or works. (John 1:12, John 3:16-18, Mark 9:42-48, Ephesians 2:8-10, 1 Peter 1:5, 1 Peter 1:18-19)
-
We teach that Christ died in the place of men, for their sins, the efficacy of this death freeing the believing sinner from the punishment, penalty, power, and one day presence of sin. (Romans 3:25, 5:8-9, 1 Peter 2:24, 3:18)
-
We teach that the local church, the body of Christ, is the extension of Jesus Christ’s character, attitude, behavior, and mission in the world today. (Matthew 16:18, Philippians 2:5-9)
-
We teach that Baptism by immersion demonstrates faith and obedience to Christ while depicting union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:1-6) We believe that communion is to be taken together by Christians in a regular manner as commanded by Christ. (Luke 22:14-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-28)
-
We teach that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God (Romans 12:1-2, Romans 14:13, John 2:15-17, 2 John 1:9-11, 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1). In support of this belief, we support Matthew 18:15-20 church ‘discipline’ on all matters of proven habitual sin.
-
We teach that God the Holy Spirit is sovereign in the bestowing of all His gifts for the perfecting of saints today, and that believers are not required to operate in every gift, but rather, serve the body of Christ with the unique gifting that the Holy Spirit has given to them (1 Corinthians 12:28-31; 1 Peter 4:7-11). We teach that specific revelatory gifts such as speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles in the beginning days of the church were for the purpose of pointing to and authenticating the apostles as revealers of divine truth, and are not the normative pattern of all believers today. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 13:8-10, 2 Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 4:7-12, Hebrews 2:1-4)
-
In fulfillment of God’s historical purpose for humanity to rule and establish God’s kingdom on earth (Gen. 1:28; Ps. 8:4-8; Matt. 6:10; Heb. 2:6-9), the Scriptures teach a millennial reign of Christ with His saints on earth following His literal return. The nation of Israel, having been redeemed, will play a central role in bringing the blessings of salvation to all nations during the millennium in fulfillment of biblical prophecies (Isaiah 2:1-4; 11:1-12; Jeremiah 23:5-6; Ezekiel 37; Amos 9:9-15; Zechariah 14; Matthew 19:28; Acts 1:6; 3:19-21; Revelation 20:4-6). Following the millennium, this kingdom will be merged into the eternal kingdom. (1 Corinthians 15:22-28)
